Pre-primary School (Balvatika)
Balvatika occupies the most attractive part of the campus. The ambience of the area is enriched by the surrounding green trees and lush lawns. The colorful play equipment and a pet corner adds to the delight of every child. The Nursery Section prepares the child for basic 3R’s (Reading, writing & Remembering). The entire methodology is child centered, activity oriented & stimulating.
Children are given every opportunity to develop their full potential appropriate to his/her age. This happens by encouraging each child's natural urge to explore and absorb impressions from a rich and stimulating environment which is provided through natural surroundings and the contrived situations and activities in an innovative approach.
In preprimary classes assessment is a continual process. The academic year is divided into two terms. The students’ performance is evaluated two times in a term on the basis of worksheets, assignment sheets, tests and exams and different co curricular activities for specific learning outcomes. It is required that students must complete their class work, homework, assignment work neatly and correctly.
As children of this age group emerge from pre-school they require both a home like comfort, yet stimulating and a challenging environment to develop their skills. We have specially developed curriculum which is flexible enough to accommodate the individual strength of each pupil. With our innovative concept of learning centers we lay stress on learning by doing. We do not believe in learning in vacuum, so it is always hands-on work and skillful learning. The curriculum offers multifarious learning opportunities and situations to young aspiring souls.
We believe that learning is his/her adventure in spirit. Life is to be directly experienced, enjoyed and loved, concepts to be discovered, assimilated and internalized. Thus leading to a positive attitude towards life.
Early Childhood Years is a period of rapid physical and mental growth. It is widely recognised that the experiences of this period will color his/her whole approach to learning throughout life. Thus, we follow a development oriented and child centered approach with emphasis on child's active interaction with the environment and development of concepts and attitudes. Reading, writing, figures and facts follow in the natural rhythm of things.
